Troubleshooting

If you encounter an issue with the Slideshow app, this page will help you diagnose and resolve it.

Logs

While running, Slideshow is writing information about changes and problems into log files saved in the device’s internal memory. You can view these log files via web interface → menu InformationLogs. There are entries with timestamp and description of what Slideshow was doing or details of a problem.

As a default, the log file with the newest entries is displayed. If you want to view older files, pick an Archive file at the top of the page. Total size of log files is limited, so they don’t take up too much space in the storage. Old log files are deleted automatically.

Bug report

If you encounter a problem, the quickest way to get help is to send a bug report directly from the app.

You can do this in two ways:

  • Via web interface: Menu InformationBug Report
  • Via on-screen menu: Menu → Bug Report

Each bug report automatically includes:

  • Log files (recent activity and errors)
  • App configuration details
  • Basic device information (Android version, hardware model...)

These details help our developers understand and reproduce the problem more effectively. For more information, see our Privacy Policy regarding the data included in reports.

After you submit a report, we review it within a few days and a reply will be sent to the email address you provide. Please check your spam folder if you haven’t received a response within 5 days.

Preferred way to report issues

Sending a bug report from within the app is the most effective way to contact us — it automatically includes the technical details we need to resolve your issue faster.

Remove application data (Full Reset)

If you’d like to completely reset Slideshow — for example, before setting it up again from the scratch — follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall Slideshow application from your Android device
  2. Using a file manager, delete folder slideshow from your device’s internal storage

After these steps, all configurations, playlists, and media files will be removed. When you reinstall Slideshow, it will start fresh with the default settings and empty configuration, just like the first installation.

All data will be lost

This process permanently deletes all local data, including media files, playlists, and settings. Be sure to back up anything you want to keep before performing a full reset.
